Topic introduction:
The study of disciplinary discourse involves the construction, dissemination and understanding of disciplinary knowledge. Focusing on the construction of disciplinary identity in applied linguistics, this study aims to analyze the changes in the discourse practices of Chinese applied linguists in different historical periods and its changes in disciplinary identity from a diachronic perspective, so as to further reveal the historical development of the Chinese applied linguistics discipline.
Faculty members with Ph.D. or Ph.D. candidature are required to attend. Other faculty members, postgraduate and undergraduate students are welcome to actively participate! (Attendance check will be strictly implemented.)
