At 19:00, November 22, the 201st Employment Forum was co-organized by School of Foreign Languages and School of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Engineering on the 1st floor of lecture hall of the South Science and Technology Building in GDUT (HEMC campus).
Ms. Shanna, an anchorwoman of Guangdong Radio and Television station(GRTN) and GRT News Channel, made a speech on the theme of“Self-improvement and Career Planning for University students”. Participants are HE Jinyun, Deputy Secretary of Youth League Committee, WAN Min, Student Affairs Administrator of School of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Engineering and more than 230 students.
Ms. Shanna told students how to improve themselves and make career planning according to her own work experience. She talked from three aspects: firstly, how to balance study and life and improve professional skills; secondly, how to choose your career and analyse your ability; thirdly, how to set your life goal and implement “step-by-step” strategy. She encouraged students to learn about themselves and their strengths correctly, set their goals and make efforts for them. What’s more, big goals can be divided into small goals and achieved in different stages if you are down-to-earth and hardworking.
During the Q&A session, students actively asked questions and Ms. Shanna patiently answered them. The lively lecture attracted a full house and met the expectation.
